Key Players
During the colonization of Hawaii from the U.S. the territory, the United States extended to the Pacific, which resulted in economic integration and eventually the rise of the United States' power over the Pacific Ocean. Secretary of state, Daniel Webster, sent a message to Hawaii agents confirming the interests that the United States had in Hawaii. In 1849, United States formed a treaty with Hawaii confirming the peace and relationship between two parties. The Queen Liliuokalani did not agree with the annexation of the U.S towards Hawaii. Her house was invaded by the Americans, and Hawaii was annexed by the U.S. The Dole family had taken great advantage of this annexation, and came out with a great profit, known today as Dole factories which produce packaged fruits and juices. Another key player of the annexation of Hawaii is Liliuokalani.
